A Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between Akıncılar Taktik Tekstil Industry and Trade Limited, a member of the Azerbaijan Franchising Association (AFA), and the Research Institute of the Ministry of Defense Industry.
According to the memorandum, the company Akıncılar Taktik Tekstil Industry and Trade Limited will create a manufacturing enterprise in Azerbaijan and will produce products suitable for the defense industry.
J. Movsumov emphasized that the process of attracting this type of investment to Azerbaijan will continue and at the next stage the construction of a production facility of the Turkish equipment manufacturer Maksivak will begin.
According to a report published in the Turkish press, within the framework of a memorandum signed by the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Akıncılar Taktik Tekstil Industry and Trade Limited Ahmet Can Uzuntepe and the President of the Research Institute of the Ministry, a joint production and testing enterprise will be created in the Izmir Laboratory of Defense Industry of Azerbaijan named after Mursal Aliyev Azerbaijan, engaged in production in the field of technical textiles.
The company, which produces ballistic vests, ballistic helmets, bulletproof wearable technologies, military assault vests, special operational clothing, tactical and outerwear with local capabilities in Izmir, will carry out part of the innovative textile work in the factory to be built in Baku.
Body armor, helmets and military products produced at the joint production are intended for sale to other countries.
As the chairman of the board of directors of his company A. Uzuntepe said, within 3 years the ballistic and tactical textile products produced will reach the status of 100% local production in Azerbaijan:
“For the first time, within the framework of cooperation, bulletproof military equipment will be produced in Azerbaijan. Engineers from Akıncılar Taktik Tekstil Industry and Trade Limited and engineers from the Research Institute of the Ministry of Defense Industry of Azerbaijan will work together in the field of technological production in the innovation center being created. Some innovative textile work in our country, we are implementing in Baku within the framework of the protocol signed with the brotherly country of Azerbaijan. Thanks to this, Turkish brands will play a more active role in Turkish regions.”
